Echo Nest Remixes
A series of remixes using the defunct Echo Nest Remix API.
Most of them used a slightly modified version of Ben Lacker's vafromb.py, which was trying to recreate a given song using the closest samples from a base (music) video. It was quite similar to Sven König's sCrAmBlEd?HaCkZ, but not working in real time.
This abridged version of Devo's Time Out For Fun was using a different logic, just replaying the original song but skipping every xth beat from each bar. Or something like that.
The Echo Nest Remix API was discontinued when Echo Nest was bought by Spotify (or shortly after). As far as I know, their expertise is now used for Spotify music recommendation algorithm.
